About Me

Hello. I'm Michele. I bought an 1890 farmhouse on 3 acres in mid-Michigan in 2016. Wanting to eat healthier, and grow produce without chemicals, I started building a garden. I add more and more every year, it's a work in progress (as am I). As the garden grows, so shall the gardener. It's my happy place, I call it Lazy Daisy Farm. I love daisies... happy little flowers.  ;-)

This blog will come from my adventures into gardening and life in general. I am now retired, following back surgery in 2019. My pace has slowed, and my appreciation for life has deepened. I no longer take anything for granted. My adventures into canning, food preservation,  herbs in tinctures and infusions are growing. I keep several chickens for the delicious eggs and entertainment they provide. I am also a creative and crafty soul and will be sharing some of my projects.

I started this site in February of 2021 and it is ever evolving. Nanas store is the newest addition, where I'll be selling all my handcrafted goodies. Follow me as I navigate this awakening and return to my ancestral roots. Thanks for stopping by.
